A Message to the TERRA Community - july 1, 2026

After 7 years of service to the electronics reuse, recycling, and IT asset disposition (ITAD) industries, TERRA (The Electronics Reuse & Recycling Alliance) has officially ceased operations.

Since its founding, TERRA's mission has been to advance the responsible reuse and recycling of electronics while promoting certified service providers committed to protecting human health, data security, and the environment. Together, our members built a global alliance that helped elevate industry standards, expand awareness of e-waste issues, and strengthen the circular economy.

We are deeply grateful to every member, partner, sponsor, and supporter who invested their time, trust, and resources in TERRA. Your commitment made this organization possible and helped create lasting positive impact throughout our industry.

Honoring Our Members

To ensure that the investment made by TERRA members continues to provide value, TERRA has reached an agreement with The ITAD Association, formerly known as ASCDI.

Under this arrangement:

• All active TERRA members are eligible to become members of The ITAD Association at no additional cost for the remainder of their current TERRA membership term.

• Members will continue to have access to industry resources, networking opportunities, events, and advocacy through The ITAD Association.

• At the conclusion of their remaining membership term, members will be invited to renew directly with The ITAD Association should they wish to continue their participation.

A Strong Future for the Industry

We believe this transition provides the best path forward for our members and helps preserve the spirit of collaboration, professionalism, and responsible stewardship that TERRA championed from the beginning.

We encourage all members to take advantage of this opportunity and continue supporting the advancement of the ITAD, electronics reuse, and recycling industries through their participation in The ITAD Association.
